Major Contract Award

Management are pleased to announce that PDA has been awarded the contract for shop detailing Cape Lambert Port B Wharf.
The addition of the new two berth wharf is the first stage of Rio Tinto’s $A3.21 billion expansion of its Pilbara operations to a capacity of 283 million tonnes per annum by 2013.
The project consists of wharf topside modules and secondary steel, a fixed tripper, mooring dolphins and walkways.
The project will be largest ever undertaken by PDA under a direct contract.
With an estimated 14,000 man hours required to complete it will require a big effort from all staff and contractors.
The schedule requires an immediate start.
We are also well placed for other upcoming major projects that will allow us to build on the momentum this project will provide.
